Capsicum Raitha

Description:A cool dish combining yougurt and roasted capsicum.
Preparation Time: 15 mins

INGREDIENTS:

MAIN:

Green Capsicum 1 big
Sweet curd 1½ cups
Grated coconut - 2 tablespoons
Salt to taste

FOR SEASONING:

Coconut oil 2 teaspoons
Mustardseeds ½ teaspoon
Blackgram dal ½ teaspoon
Red Chilli - 1 small
Curry Leaves - 4-5

PREPARATION METHOD:

1.Wash and cut the capsicum into small pieces.
2.Heat the oil and add mustardseeds,when it starts to crakle, add the blackgram dal and red chilli.
3.When the blackgram dal is golden brown, add the cut capsicum pieces and the curry leaves.
4.Saute on a small flame till the capsicum pieces are tender, remove from the fire and cool.
5.Beat the curds lightly,add the sauted capsicum pieces with the seasoning grated coconut and salt. Mix thoroughly and serve.

Moms Tip: To add colour to the raitha different colour capsicum like red,yellow or orange
can be used with the green capsicum.
